FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE
Kaunakakai,Molokai – Sust`aina ble Molokai is honored to announce the award of a grant from the Office of Hawaiian Affairs (OHA) in the amount of $6,000 though the Ahahhui fund. Sustainable Molokai is participating in the Indigenous Crop Biodiversity Festival (ICBF) August 24th -30th. The ICBF shines a spotlight on the role of indigenous crop biodiversity in local food security and healthy communities, as part of the common ground we share in the race to preserve the biological and cultural uniqueness of our islands in the face of rapid climate change.
There will also be various tours on Molokai and Maui islands from August 25th – 31st that will help to highlight the varied responses to biodiversity and conservation.
