Hui Up

ENERGY STAR uses less energy, so you save more. ENERGY STAR-qualified refrigerators are required to use 20% less energy than models not labeled with the ENERGY STAR logo.  Choose ENERGY STAR and cut your energy bill significantly. Slash your electricity bill! If your icebox is more than 19 years old, replacing it with an ENERGY STAR model will save you more than $400. Protect the environment More than 90% of Hawai’i’s energy comes from imported oil.  Generating power from oil pollutes the atmosphere with carbon emissions, contributing to climate change.  ENERGY STAR refrigerators use less energy and help us reduce our impact on the environment Energy Star Logo

Replacing your old refrigerator can save you up to $400 a year!

What is Hui Up?

Hui Up is a community-based program powered by SustAINAble Moloka’i and Hawai’i Energy in partnership with Servco Home and Appliance Distribution, Makoa Trucking, Inc., to provide an opportunity for residents of Moloka’i to become more energy-efficient via an ENERGY STAR appliance trade-in program.

By harnessing the power of volume purchasing, the Hui Up program will allow you and your neighbors to save substantial energy and money every year. This program will be offered on a first-come, first-served basis for qualified applicants looking to trade their old, inefficient appliances for new ENERGY STAR appliances.

Hui Up is no longer accepting applications at this time. Please check back for updates in the future if and when applications will be accepted.
