Aloha Mobile Market ʻOhana!

We did it! The first drive-through Mobile Market was a success thanks to everyone’s kōkua. Mahalo nui loa to all of you as we practice resilience together.

Of course, we learned a few things, mostly about working with vehicular traffic.

Hence, our new, improved Drive-through Pick Up Protocol:

  • Please stay in your vehicle and proceed to the front of the line. When it’s your turn, please put your car in PARK until we give you the go-ahead. (Just to keep our staff safe!)
  • As we don’t want to touch your vehicles, we ask that you please tell us where to put your order and open the window you wish to us to use. (In town, the passenger-side front or rear-window worked best, and in Maunaloa, the rear driver’s side window.)
  • After you pick up your order, please pull through. You may park at a distance (there is plenty of room!) to reorganize your order into chill bags, coolers, etc. (Please take care not to block traffic.)
  • Please avoid congregating. (Sigh. We know itʻs hard.)

Thanks to those of you who got back to us with feedback about the recipe links we posted last week! We are cooking up ways to share and archive recipes… stay tuned!

We always want to hear your questions, recipes, insights, or thoughts about storing and preparing fresh produce.
