Molokai Clean Energy Hui (MCEH)

Mission

A community-led space for energy conversations: Inspired by the Molokai Clean Energy Initiative that ended in 2015, the Molokai Clean Energy Hui was launched initially as a two-year pilot program in October 2020 and has morphed into a trusted table for community members to learn, share manaʻo, and take part in shaping our energy future. Guided by Molokai values, MCEH builds on the legacy of the Molokai Clean Energy Initiative and continues the vision with island-wide collaboration and aims to help Molokai become the resilient, clean energy community we all want to share.

  • Energy Conservation: explore and promote energy conservation opportunities for Molokai residents, businesses, schools, and organizations
  • Renewable Electricity: learn about proposed renewable energy generation projects and grid improvements and provides input
  • Clean Transportation: explore options and strategies for clean transportation on Molokai
