Molokai

PEEP is an 8-month educational program on commercial chicken egg production, utilizing a blend of in-person & Zoom classes, including:

  • Workshops with our poultry partner
  • Workshops with PEEP support team
  • Chicken Foraging & Feed workshops with CTAHR
  • Field Trips to past cohorts' chicken farms
  • Farm Business Support (G.E license, business plan, & 1-on-1 consultations with a Farm Biz Specialist
  • A built-in market for eggs to ensure egg sales while you stabilize and grow your business.
  • A cohort-style model that encourages farmer-to-farmer support & collaborative sales methods
  • Supplies to get your chicken egg business up and running.

Participants receive $2,500 in start-up equipment and supplies, including 24 chicks, chick & pullet care starter packages (brooder box, feeding/watering supplies, feed), building materials for a stationary OR Mobile chicken coop (both inclusive of chicken runs)
